Terms of use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

PlayWithFiles is operated by KRD Technologies, India. By using PlayWithFiles you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Free to use

The tools are free for personal and business use. You do not need an account. We may change, add or remove tools at any time.

Your files and your responsibility

  • Only use files that you own or have the right to work with.
  • Do not use the tools for anything unlawful — for example to forge documents, signatures or identity papers, or to remove passwords from files that are not yours.
  • Unlock PDF only removes a password you already know. It does not guess or break passwords.
  • Sign PDF places a picture of your signature. It is not a certified digital signature.
  • Always check the result before you use it — especially redaction, OCR text and documents you submit to an office, bank or exam.

Video, audio and codes: what not to do

  • Use the video and audio tools only on files you made, own, or have permission to change. We do not offer tools that take a link from YouTube, Spotify or any other service and save its video or music, and you must not use these tools to do the same with files obtained that way.
  • Do not use the tools to remove copy protection (DRM), to copy or share someone else's copyrighted work, or to make material that is unlawful, deceptive or harmful.
  • Do not make QR codes or barcodes that point to scams, malware or other people's details without their consent. We do not make payment codes (UPI or crypto) and the tools refuse them. Web addresses may be checked with Google Web Risk before you save (see the Privacy policy), and a code for an address that Google flags as suspected to be unsafe is refused. The advice comes from Google Web Risk and can be wrong either way. You are responsible for what your codes say and where they lead.
  • Videos for the video tools come from your own Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive.

Abuse and blocking

We may refuse or block use of the site, a tool or a type of code that we believe is being abused, at any time and without notice. Codes are made on each person's own device, so a code that has already been made cannot be switched off by us. To report abuse, see Report abuse; complaints go to our Grievance Team.

Exam and form sizes

The photo, signature and document sizes on our exam and form pages are taken from official notifications, with links and the date we checked them. Rules change with each new notification. The official notification is always final. Please check it before you apply. We are not responsible if a form is rejected.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is", without any warranty. We work hard to make them correct and reliable, but we cannot promise they will always work, be error-free, or suit your purpose. Keep a copy of your original files.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, PlayWithFiles is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or its tools, including lost data, rejected applications or missed deadlines.

Content and names

The site's design, text and code belong to PlayWithFiles. Names of exams, organisations, apps and file formats (for example SSC, NTA, UPSC, Amazon, Instagram, PDF) belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a tool does. We are not connected with them.
