QR codes are made on each person's own device, so we cannot see or switch off a code once it has been made. But your report helps: we use it to block the same trick in the tools and, where it is serious, to tell the right authorities.
If you have already lost money or shared a password
- Call your bank now and ask them to block the card, account or UPI ID.
- In India, report cyber fraud at 1930 (the national cybercrime helpline) or at cybercrime.gov.in. Do it quickly: the sooner it is reported, the more can be stopped.
- Change the password of anything you typed into the fake page.
